Zack

Name: Zack

Age: 2 years

Sex: Male

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 180

Personality:
Zack came into our care after his owner unfortunately passed away. He found the cattery environment really stressful and would spend his time hiding away. Zack is lucky enough to currently be in a foster home where he has started to settle really well and is now feeling brave enough to spend time with his foster family. He can still be a little shy but he can also be an affectionate and loving boy when the mood takes him!

Behaviour:
Zack has had a lot of change in the last few months and as a result can take a little while to settle and learn to trust you. Over several weeks he has grown in confidence and is now starting to thrive in his foster home with a calm and predictable routine. He will often be straight out to greet his foster family when they enter his room and loves to be stroked, although sometimes he still panics slightly and will give a little hiss or he will retreat back to the safe space of his igloo. Zack has started to show a playful side, a catnip mouse being his favourite, he also enjoys using his scratching post.

Housing:
Zack does prefer the safety of his igloo bed and finds new surroundings a little scary, so for this reason he will his own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. He cannot be homed in Portsmouth (PO1 area).

Children/pets:
Zack did come into our care with his brother but our camera footage shows they were not bonded and they actively chose space away from each other, for this reason he will need to be an only pet. Due to Zacks nervous nature he would be best suited in a calm and quiet adult only home with owners who will be patient whilst he settles.

Vet history:
Zack is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Zack has no known medical conditions. Zack has been on some medication to help him relax whilst in our care which he is currently being weaned off of. The medication is a liquid we put in his food which he eats well, this will be provided for his new owners and a plan will be given on how to gradually wean him off of this. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
