Tamara

Name: Tamara

Age: Approx 5 months old

Sex: Female

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 22

Personality:
Tamara is a shy girl. She has taken a little while to settle into the cattery but is starting to make progress daily. She is chatty and friendly once she gets to know you. She keeps occupied overnight with some enrichment but hasn’t yet shown a playful side in front of her socialisers.

Behaviour:
When Tamara is undisturbed, she like to rest in the warmth of her pod. She is starting to come out to see her trusted socialisers and will give a little chirrup. She is quite cautious when approaching but once she feels confident enough, she will nudge your hand for some gentle cheek strokes. Tamara paddy paws and purrs away and does a small roll into your hand but she can be easily scared away by fast movements or noise. With her trusted handler, she enjoys the company and will sit on their lap for a fuss or is equally happy to lay beside. She would love a calm home where she can settle at her own pace. We believe that once she has settled, she will be an affectionate and loving girl.

Housing:
Tamara does get easily spooked when out exploring the cattery floor and will run back to her unit where she feels safe, so for this reason she would need her own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. She cannot be homed in so18, Southampton area.

Children/pets:
Tamara could live with older secondary school aged children. She cannot live with cats or dogs.

Vet history:

Tamara is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. Her second vaccination is due between 11/2/26 – 17/2/26 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Tamara has a low grade 1-2 heart murmur . 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £120. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
