Name: Simba
Age: 10 months
Sex: Male
Breed: Cane Corso / Boxer
Ref number: 46

Personality:
Simba is a very friendly, affectionate boy who loves nothing more than to sit on your lap. He is playful and loves his toys! He has been really lucky to spend some time in a foster home where he has learnt to walk nicely on the lead, they also report he is fully toilet trained, sleeps through the night and can be left for short periods once settled. He loves to greet people and makes everyone smile, he can also stand calmly with his handler while greeting people.

Behaviour:
Despite Simba’s incredibly calm nature, he is of course still only 10 months old and can get over excited at times, generally when playing with toys or other dogs. His new family will need to commit to consistent training to help him work through times where he gets overstimulated with calm positive training. Simba has been left for short periods of (2 hours) and has done well sleeping in his bed, which he prefers to a crate. Simba is a seriously special boy who will make an incredible addition to the right family. A loving, dedicated and active home is what he is searching for!

Housing:
Simba will need a private secure garden where he can let off steam, he is a very sociable dog and would love to go on adventures with his new family. He cannot be rehomed to the Northampton area.

Children/pets:
We do not have any history to say whether or not Simba has lived with children. Due to his nature, we feel he would do well with children who are used to big dogs and are of secondary school age. If you have sensible, dog-savvy children who are slightly younger we may consider your application if everything else is a match. Simba would love to have doggy friends out and about but has been too much previously to live with other dogs. He will need a feline-free home.

Vet history:
Simba is fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and wormer, we recommend he is not castrated until is fully grown at around 18 months, he can return to the centre for this.
