Sidney

Name: Sidney

Age: 2 years

Sex: Male

Breed: Domestic Medium Hair

Ref number: 188

Personality:
My name is Sidney. I am a loving boy but I find new situations quite scary so I am very lucky to be in a foster home where I have settled in at my own pace. I am affectionate and love being around my foster carers. I am playful with stick toys but not so keen on any other toys currently. I can be sensitive to movements so I have my own room which I run too if i’m unsure.

Behaviour:
When my foster carers are home, I like to settle on their lap having some gentle fuss. I make sure I get myself very comfy and stretch my paws out. I will purr away having some strokes whilst they watch tv. Recently, I have become a little helper in the house so I lay beside them; making sure they get their work done. Sometimes my fosterer will play with the stick toy with me so I have lots of fun chasing it around. When they are not around, I quite like looking out the windows to see what’s going on. In the evenings, I look forward to doing my enrichment which I’m getting very good at!

Housing:
Sidney does get easily spooked when out exploring the house and will run back to his room where he feels safe, so for this reason he will need his own unused room to settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. He cannot be homed in Eastleigh, So50.

Children/pets:
Sidney will be best suited to an adult only home due to his nervous nature. He cannot live with dogs. Sidney has lived with other cats but he has made lots of progress in his confidence since being an only cat so we believe he would prefer to not live with other cats.

Vet history:
Sidney is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Sidney has fibrosed tissue in both ears due to previously having ear mites. He has had ongoing cleaning for this whilst in our care and his ears are now looking much better. His ears will need monitoring and cleaning where required. He is not on any medication for this. Sidney has no other known medical conditions. Any questions on this please ask the staff. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
