Personality:
From a shy and worried boy, Potts is now loving spending time with his socialisers. He has gained so much confidence with us and is a gentle and affectionate boy. He can still be unsure of any sudden noises so he would do well in a calm household so he feels safe to come out and explore.
Behaviour:
Potts greets socialisers when he feels ready. Often poking his head out the carrier, having a chat then rubbing his head on the edges of the hide. Socialisers let him initiate the fuss and he will lean into their hand enjoying some cheek tickles. He loves to be near his friends, often rolling over, paddy pawing and purring. He is content laying next to someone, soaking up the company. Sometimes, he can be a little wary of new people but it usually doesn’t take him long to build his trust.
Housing:
Potts does get easily spooked when out exploring the cattery floor and will run back to his unit where he feels safe, so for this reason he would benefit from his own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. He cannot be homed in so14 area of Southampton.
Children/pets:
Due to his nervousness around sounds and sudden movements, Potts would need an adult only home with no other pets.
Vet history:
Potts is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Potts has a small nick in the left eye lid. He is not on any treatment for this and it is not causing him any pain or discomfort currently. It is likely due to previous trauma. This should be monitored and adopters should seek vets advise if anything changes. Potts has no other known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
