Name: Pluto and Star
Age: 3 years and 2 years
Sex: Male and female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Ref number: 73 + 74
Personality:
Pluto and Star are a father and daughter duo. They have a little different personalities as Pluto is the more confident one, whereas Star is a bit more shy and takes her time trusting her socialisers. Pluto is very affectionate and playful. Star is cautious but curious and investigates her surroundings slowly. They would make a lovely addition to a quieter household and would have lots of love to give once they’ve settled in.
Behaviour:
Pluto is first to greet socialisers and isn’t afraid of making new friends. He will rub against their legs and then jump on and off their laps asking for strokes. He has a loud purr and will often roll around next to you, paddy pawing and giving his socialisers slow blinks. Currently, Star watches from a distance for a little bit before venturing over to see what’s going on. She has a calm approach and will explore her unit gradually. She is beginning to gain her confidence with her socialisers and is starting to headbutt their hands. Star can be responsive when talked to by rolling around. We believe out of the cattery environment, she will feel more relaxed to ask for the attention. Pluto enjoys having a play with his toys and hopefully Star will join in once she has settled in her new home. Star often seeks reassurance from Pluto; they will touch noses and Star will give him a headbutt.
Housing:
Pluto and Star prefer the safety of their unit and finds new surroundings a little scary, so for this reason they would benefit from their own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. They cannot be homed in Gosport po12 area.
Children/pets:
Pluto and Star could live with an older secondary school aged child. Visiting children can be older primary school aged +, once they have settled into their new home. Pluto and Star are fearful around dogs and are not showing interest in other cats so they would prefer to have a household without other cats or dogs.
Vet history:
Pluto and Star are neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. Their second vaccination is due between 06/05/26 – 12/05/26 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Pluto and Star have no known medical conditions. Pluto has scabs along his spine and some alopecia due to having fleas prior to intake.
