Name: Philip
Age: 1 year
Sex: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Ref number: 190
Personality:
I am Philip. I have had a tough past before arriving at the cattery. It has taken me a short while to get used to the routine of my staff, but I’m quite confident that I have sussed it out now. I’m an inquisitive boy so I like to keep an eye on my surroundings. Although I do get a bit frightened if one of my staff spots me whilst I’m out exploring.
Behaviour:
After breakfast, I like to have a snooze in my cosy bed so that I’m well rested after my busy night of playing. My staff are hands off with me, which I appreciate as I feel fearful in close proximity. As my staff are predictable and quiet, I am sometimes comfortable to chill out at a distance and give them a slow blink. Every evening, I enjoy doing my enrichment that staff make for me each day. Once I’ve had a good attempt, I have a play with my toys. My previous owner described me to be an affectionate boy. My staff believe that I will likely gain my confidence back with people in a home environment which is more familiar to me. I will need my new adopters to give me lots of space and to be patient with me whilst I get used to my new surroundings.
Housing:
I find new surroundings a little scary so I will need my own unused room whilst I settle in. Once I feel ready to, I can then explore the rest of the property and eventually a garden. I cannot be rehomed in Eastleigh so50. 3 months behavioural support will be be provided by our onsite behaviourist.
Children/pets:
I cannot live with other cats or dogs. I am looking for an adult only home
Vet history:
I am neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Philip has no known medical conditions. Philip came into our care with ear mites. Philip has had routine treatment for this and regular ear cleaning. His ears are now looking much better but adopters will need to be aware as he may need ad-hoc cleaning in the future. Regular vet prescribed flea and wormer is advised from your own vet. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.
Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
