Dusty

Name: Dusty

Age: 3 years approx

Sex: Female

Breed: Domestic Long Hair

Ref number: 14

Personality:
Dusty was previously rescued by another charity from a multicat household. She was placed in a room in a foster home where she had very little human interaction for the year she was there. When she first came into us she was understandably very shy and would hide away. She has since made friends with some of the staff and volunteers and now enjoys being with people and enjoying some gentle fuss.

Behaviour:
Dusty has grown in confidence and now really enjoys human company, she will either stay in her favourite bed or will come out and sit close to you, she loves her food so this is a great way to make friends with her. She is still a little hand shy, although when its quiet she will come over and nudge for some strokes, she is even starting to enjoy being brushed gently. Dusty will watch her toys when staff are handling them but has not shown any interest in playing with them yet, although this may change once she’s settled in her new home.

Housing:
Dusty does prefer the safety of her unit and finds new surroundings a little scary, so for this reason she would benefit from her own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. She cannot be homed in Basingstoke (RG21 area).

Children/pets:
Dusty needs to be an only pet in an adult only home.

Vet history:

Dusty is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Dusty has shown signs of possibly be a cat flu carrier and does occasionally have watery eyes, she is currently on no treatment for this. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely
appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
