Let your love live on

Local animals need your help

The RSPCA Solent Branch is an independently registered charity which comes under the umbrella of the RSPCA. It costs just over £20,000 per week to run the centre and we are self-funded, being primarily responsible for raising these funds locally. We support the central charity by taking in animals rescued by RSPCA Inspectors.

This vital work comes at a cost – our annual veterinary fees and boarding fees are in excess of £100,000.

Leave a legacy

A legacy to the RSPCA Solent Branch will provide crucial funds. We could not carry out our work without this generous support.

You can do this by making a will or by adding a Codicil. If you’re making a will, please remember that the RSPCA Solent Branch is a separately registered charity.

So, if you would like our work to benefit animals in your local area, we would respectfully suggest that your legacy reads

I give the sum of £…  (or specify a share of residue) to the RSPCA Solent Branch, Registered Charity Number 205096, for its general purpose and I declare that the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer of the said Branch for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for said legacy.

Please note that a Will or Codicil needs to be properly witnessed, and you should obtain legal advice.

Phil was one of our long stay animals who spent a massive 620 days in our care! During that time he spent his days in his field rolling in the mud, getting nice treats, playing with the enrichment activities that the staff made for him and napping. He was adopted in 2023 and now lives a nice life, in a big field, amongst other farmyard animals.

Lola Bear spent 401 days in our care. Whilst she was here she spent time in a room away from all the other cats as being around them caused her stress and anxiety. The cattery team fell in love with her and were over the moon when she finally found her forever home! Since Lola has moved into her new home she has thrived.

Our handsome boy Hank was in the kennel environment for a whopping 694 days. During this time he created some very strong bonds with the staff and volunteers here at the Ark and would greet them with a toy in his mouth. Hank finally found his forever home in 2023 and we were all so happy that he got the life he deserved.
