Benji

Name: Benji

Age: 8 year old

Sex: Male

Breed: Maltese X

Ref number: 30

Personality:
Prince Benji is a very sweet and affectionate boy who loves being around people and not much seems to phase him. He has melted many hearts since his arrival and he spends most of his days in our reception where he is the center of attention, he enjoys a walk but would happily spend most of his time cuddled up with you. Benji has a big personality for a little dog and would make a fantastic companion to someone who wants a calm dog who could go everywhere with them.

Behaviour:
Benji is generally good with dogs and walks well with smaller dogs but he dislikes bigger dogs and will bark at them so any adopter would need to support him with this and allow him space when needed. Benji doesn’t like being left alone so he will need a home where someone is around most of the time and is able to gradually increase the time he is left.

Housing:
Benji could live in a flat as long as he was provided with walks and access to the outside to toilet several times a day. He would benefit from a quieter/calm home as he mainly wants a comfy place to sit with someone and enjoy a fuss. Benji cannot be rehomed to the
Eastleigh area.

Children/pets:
Benji has lived with children previously, however he would prefer a quieter/calm home so he could live with children over the age of 13. Although Benji can make friends with dogs we believe he would be happier as the only dog in the home. He cannot live with cats, and other small animals would chase them.

Vet history:
Benji has be castrated and is fully vaccinated and up to date with Flea and Worming treatment.
Benji has Hip dysplasia which he has had since birth, he manages this well and doesn’t require any medication for this at the moment but any adopter would need to be prepared to monitor him for any pain or discomfort and be prepared to pay for any potential cost associated with this in the future, full details will be provided to any potential adopter.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £180. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.
