Chandler

Name: Chandler

Age: 1 year

Sex: Male

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 192

Personality:
Chandler finds the cattery environment a little overwhelming. He can often be found up at height in his outdoor run so he can watch everything that’s happening. When it’s quiet he likes to curl up and have a little snooze. We are currently using a hands off approach whilst he settles and this will need to be continued in his new home to help Chandler settle and ensure he feels respected and listened to. His previous owner has stated he was an affectionate cat in his previous home, we’re hoping this will come in time on his terms and when he feels ready.

Behaviour:
Chandler is growing in confidence everyday and will happily explore his unit to seek out either food or toys to play with, they never appear to be where we left them! When we are in his presence he can be quite relaxed around us. Most recently he’s felt brave enough to come out on the cattery floor to have a little explore. He is going to need patient owners in his new home. Once settled, we’re hoping his character will show. 3 months post adoption behaviour support will be provided.

Housing:
Chandler does prefer the safety of his unit and finds new surroundings a little scary. For this reason he will need his own unused room to initially settle in and to keep as his safe space, before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a private garden. Chandler cannot be homed in Lymington, SO41 area.

Children/pets:
Chandler needs an adult only home and to be the only pet in the property.

Vet history:
Chandler is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Chandler has a grade 1 heart murmur. He has no other known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
