Kylo

Name: Kylo

Age: 4 years

Sex: Male

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 193

Personality:
Kylo is an affectionate boy and will greet staff for a fuss when he feels confident too. With time and patience, he is a friendly boy. Due to high sensitivity to noise, he prefers to interact when it is quiet and he can be easily worried by sudden or unknown sounds. After some time to settle into the cattery routine, he will seek attention from staff by nudging them with his head.

Behaviour:
Kylo loves to be at the height of his unit, curled up in his igloo bed. In his own time, he is beginning to show more confidence in coming out to see us and we believe this confidence will continue to grow each day. He will headbutt your hand and brush his body against you for some gentle strokes. He likes to do a bit of exploring in between having some fuss. He will paddy paw and purr as he walks around and checks in with you. When he hears something he is unsure of, he often pauses but he is often reassured by some gentle talking. He is looking for a quiet, calm household where he will have minimal disturbances to help with his nervous nature.

Housing:
Kylo does prefer the safety of his unit and finds new surroundings a little scary, so for this reason he would need from his own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. He cannot be homed in Portsmouth (PO2 area). In his previous home, he would occasionally urinate outside of his litter tray. This is suspected to be linked to stress within a busier household and possibly around having another resident cat living in the property. In the cattery, Kylo has not had any accidents and all toileting has been within his trays.

Children/pets:
Kylo is looking for a quiet adult only household with no visiting children and no other pets in the household due to his nervous nature.

Vet history:
Kylo is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Kylo has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:
