Name: Bonnie
Age: Adult
Sex: Female
Breed: Flemish Giant
Ref number: 38
Personality:
Bonnie is a sweet inquisitive doe who will often rush to see you for some attention and for the bonus of a tasty treat! After her daily human interaction, she can be found snoozing in her favourite resting spot in her outdoor run. Bonnie is now ready to find companionship with a neutered male rabbit.
Behaviour:
From our observations and like most rabbits, Bonnie does not like over handling, so a patient approach will be needed in her new home, to gain trust with her new family. Bonnie would need at least one meeting where staff can discuss her requirements, and answer any questions about the bonding process.
Housing:
• Rabbits must have a minimum living space of 3 metres long x 2 metres wide x 1 metre high, with 24-hour access at all times.
• All outdoor accommodation must be fully predator-proof. (Sheds/Aviaries)
• Wire mesh must be a minimum of 16-gauge thickness.
Sheds must have secure/opening windows to allow for natural light and ventilation.
• Indoor Housing:
• Indoor rabbits must live in a rabbit-proofed environment.
• All electrical wires and cables must be fully protected or hidden.
• Any toxic or unsafe plants must be removed or kept completely out of reach.
• Flooring should be non-slip and comfortable, with safe areas for digging, hiding, and resting.
Children/pets:
Bonnie can live around other animals, but to be kept separately. She can also live with children of secondary school age (11-18 years) and up. Younger children should be supervised if interacting/handling the rabbits.
Vet history:
Bonnie has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated. She has also had a full teeth check and has no current health issues.
Additional information:
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the rabbits.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
