Lucy

Name: Lucy

Age: 9 months old approx

Sex: Female

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 64

Personality:
Lucy is a shy but sweet girl. She has learnt the cattery routine and loves to be out exploring. Lucy has had a hand off approach with staff and volunteers and she is now starting to ask for a fuss from some of her socialisers. We believe that in a home she will be more trusting and initiate contact from her family. She is nervous of sounds but is just as much curious to see what’s going on.

Behaviour:
Lucy is often straight onto the cattery floor to investigate her surroundings. She loves being able to play with her stick toys and will spend a lot of time intensely watching before pouncing. Lucy is becoming braver and approaching her socialisers to give them a good sniff but is easily worried by movements so she would like a calm household so she feels safe to build a bond with her new family. Once she has bonded to her new owners, we are sure that Lucy will be an affectionate and loving girl. With people she trusts onsite, she will roll in her bed; headbutting their hands for some gentle strokes and will purr away. Lucy can be a chatty girl at times, usually walking around giving little trills. Overnight, Lucy loves playing with a variety of her toys and she cannot wait to have more space to play chase with her ball toys.

Housing:
Lucy does get easily spooked when out exploring the cattery floor and will run back to her unit where she feels safe, so for this reason she would benefit from her own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. She cannot be homed in Heckfield, RG27 area.

Children/pets:
Lucy cannot live with a dog. Lucy has shown pro-social behaviours towards other cats. Lucy will need to be the only pet to begin with whilst she builds a trusted relationship with her caregiver. In time Lucy could possibly live with another young cat with a careful and slow introduction, providing there is enough space and resources to allow a smooth introduction. She would like an adult only home, although she could possibly live with an older secondary school aged child depending on Lucy’s reaction during a meet onsite.

Vet history:
Lucy is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Lucy has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £120. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:
