Penelope

Name: Penelope

Age: 11 months approx

Sex: Female

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 44

Personality:
Penelope is a very affectionate and gentle girl. Whilst she loves to be around people she can be a little wary at first. It doesn’t take her too long to feel comfortable with you and once she does, she likes nothing better than to curl up on your lap for a cuddle. She is growing in confidence everyday and is now beginning to feel brave enough to start exploring the cattery floor.

Behaviour:
Penelope can be quite wary of noise and can quite often be found tucked away in her igloo bed on the top shelf where she can keep an eye on things. Once she realises a trusted handler has come into her unit she is quickly down to greet them. Penelope is starting to realise toys can be fun to play with, her favourite being a fishing rod toy.

Housing:
Penelope does get easily spooked when out exploring the cattery floor and will run back to her unit where she feels safe, so for this reason she would benefit from her own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a private garden. She cannot be homed in the PO12 area of Gosport area.

Children/pets:
Penelope came into us a stray but the finder kept her for a short amount of time. Penelope was uncomfortable around the finders cats and dogs so would prefer to be an only pet. Penelope is very noise sensitive so she’s looking for a quite, calm home. She could possibly live with senior school aged children depending on her reaction on meeting.

Vet history:
Penelope is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. Her second vaccination is due between 01/04/26 – 07/04/26 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Penelope has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
