Marco

Name: Marco

Age: 10 years

Sex: Male

Breed: Domestic Long Hair

Ref number: 182

Personality:
Our beautiful big boy Marco has been lucky enough to spend the last few months in a foster home to help him through his weight loss journey as he is certainly on the larger side. He settled incredibly well and quickly had his feet under the table and his foster mum at every beck and call. He is an affectionate boy who loves a cuddle. Marco has a playful side, playing with a variety of toys. He is also quite partial to a cardboard box or two!

Behaviour:
Marco found the confinements of the cattery environment quite stressful which wasn’t going to help with the crystals in his urine or his weight loss. After having a good sniff everywhere Marco settled quite quickly in a foster home and soon built up a good routine. He can be an inquisitive boy and has been known to follow his foster mum around the house and does occasionally get under her feet. He really enjoys human company and would be a perfect fit for a retired person or couple, or people who work from home, he would be sure to help out! His foster mum describes him as an absolute joy to have at home.

Housing:
Marco will need a home with outside access to a garden. He cannot be homed in the Gosport, PO13 area.

Children/pets:
Marco will need to be an only pet. He would prefer an adult home but could possibly live with older aged secondary school children.

Vet history:
Marco is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Marco came into us with crystals in his urine which have greatly reduced since being in our care. He is currently on a special diet to help with his crystals and his weight loss which will need to be continued in his new home. It is recommended that Marco has his urine tested at the vets every 6 months. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
