Name: Cuddles
Age: 2 years
Sex: Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Ref number: 196
Personality:
Cuddles has had a lot of change in the last year; she used to have the freedom to enjoy the outside world and would come and go as she pleased, but then she was moved into a flat with no outside access, there was the addition of a new baby and her owners health deteriorated, as a result Cuddles found her new home situation incredibly stressful. Since coming into our care its clear to see she is a sweet and affectionate girl who is just looking for a calm, quiet and predictable home to call her own.
Behaviour:
Cuddles has settled very quickly, often following you around in her unit as she loves being around people. She will rub against you and headbutt your hand to initiate contact, we have been doing this on Cuddles’ terms so she feels she is being listened too as this hasn’t always been the case in her previous home. Cuddles enjoys playing with a variety of toys and even came into us with her own toy box! When she is having some down time she is often found curled up on her donut bed. Cuddles can be a sensitive girl with external noises around the cattery and will sometimes run back into her inside pod if she gets worried, although it doesn’t take her long to come back out to see you.
Housing:
Cuddles would benefit from her own unused or quiet room to initially settle in (we don’t think this will be for too long) before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden in a low cat populated area. She cannot be homed in Gosport (PO12 area).
Children/pets:
Cuddles needs to be an only pet and can live with older aged secondary school children who will be calm around her and will allow her to settle in her own time.
Vet history:
Cuddles is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. Her second vaccination is due weekdays between 09/11/2025 – 16/11/2025 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Cuddles has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.
