Name: Coco
Age: 10 years
Sex: Female
Breed: British Shorthair
Ref number: 93

Personality:
Coco came into our care after her owner sadly passed away. She is a sweet girl and enjoys human company. She is sensitive to noises in the cattery environment so she is desperate to find a calm forever home. Coco quickly makes new friends but is wary of sudden movements so she prefers being socialised when its quiet in the cattery.

Behaviour:
Coco likes being at height in her unit when she is undisturbed as she feels safe but can still look out to the surroundings. With her trusted socialisers, she will come down and have a fuss and sometimes roll over. When she’s feeling brave, she will come out onto the cattery floor to explore and occasionally show her playful side. Coco will need a home where her adopters let her come over to you to initiate strokes and attention. Whilst in our care, Coco has not shown interest in being a lap cat and dislikes being picked up.

Housing:
Coco does get easily spooked when out exploring the cattery floor and will run back to her unit where she feels safe, so for this reason she will need her own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. She cannot be homed in Botley so30 area.

Children/pets:
Coco will need to be the only pet in the household. She will need an adult only household due to her nervousness.

Vet history:
Coco is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Coco has stage 1 chronic kidney disease. This is being managed with specific kidney food and a product called Ipakitine as she dislikes the taste of the wet kidney food. She will need urine tests every 6-12 months to monitor her kidney function. She also has mild polycystic kidney disease. Our vets advise that she will need an ultrasound of her kidneys every 6-12 months. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.
