Personality:
Dahlia hasn’t had the greatest start to life, found as a stray with the worst case of fur loss from fleas that we’d ever seen. This hasn’t dampened her spirit as she is now enjoying making the most of the attention from staff and volunteers. She is an affectionate girl and can be very chatty when she knows people are around.

Behaviour:
Dahlia loves to be around people and initiates for lots of fuss. She will climb onto socialiser’s laps, make herself comfy and have a little snooze. She likes to have gentle strokes and is known to have a loud purr. At times, she can be a playful girl with her toys and will chase after them if she knocks them off the shelf. When undisturbed, Dahlia will relax in her bed on the top shelf where she can see what’s going on in her surroundings.

Housing:
Dahlia will need a home with outside access to a garden. She cannot be rehomed to Gosport PO12 area.

Children/pets:
Dahlia could live with primary school aged children who will be calm and gentle around her. She cannot live with other cats or dogs.

Vet history:
Dahlia is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. Her second vaccination is due between 06/06/25 – 12/06/25 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee.
Dahlia come into our care with severe alopecia, her fur is currently regrowing. It is recommended she has flea prescribed treatment each month. She has no known medical conditions.
4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
