Name: Willow
Age: 12 weeks
Sex: Female
Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Ref number: 11

Personality:
Let us introduce you to Willow. She has not had the best start as she and her litter mates came to us at only a few months old and have already spent most of their young lives in kennels. They came in with their mum who is a super star coping so well with leaving her puppies and being in kennels but is still happy to meet everyone! The puppies are confident to try new things and we have been gradually exposing them to things here at the centre. They have had time being socialized with people here and they have also been on some in arm (or in pram!) walks but their experience of the world is pretty limited at the moment. Like all puppies, they are playful and affectionate, but of course, are a little mouthy and like to chew on things and fingers too. These puppies will need dedicated owners who
are prepared to put in the time and effort it takes when raising a puppy. All adopters should enrol their puppy in training classes to help them start off on the right foot.
Please do not apply for a puppy if you are not in a position to adopt immediately.

Behaviour:
Willow is confident and playful and loves a cuddle and fuss. Willow likes playing with her toys and her siblings, and will let them know when they are too much. Willow is very much in her teething and mouth exploring age so encouragement onto toys will be
crucial

Housing:
All puppies will not be able to be left alone at all initially, they will need someone home with them at all times and will need a gradual exposure to being left alone. They will need access to a private, secure garden. They will need their adopters to be willing to puppy proof their home to set their puppies up for success possibly even restricting access to certain areas with things like baby gates.

Children/pets:
These puppies can live with secondary school aged children, other dogs and cats. Please consider before applying if your existing animals will be happy to welcome a bouncy puppy into their home. Adopters must have the ability and be willing to separate the puppy from other animals and children and to introduce them gradually, and guide children how to behave around them.

Vet history:
Willow does have a mild heart murmur. All puppies are flea, wormed and microchipped. They have had their first vaccination and will need to return to the shelter for their 2nd vaccination and neutering (when they are old enough)

appreciated.
