Willis

Name: Willis

Age: 1 year approx

Sex: Male

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 172

Personality:
Willis has come a long way since being in our care but still has potential to gain more confidence in a home environment. Willis has come from a large multicat household and we believe he has had no human interactions previously so can be suspicious of our intentions. Willis is a nervous boy who is learning to trust, he appreciates space and a slow calm approach.

Behaviour:
Since being in our care, Willis has shown he values his food a lot. With the help of food, he has built up his confidence over a period of time to which he now feels comfortable sitting at a distance from trusted staff members. He has a hands off approach which will need to remain in his new home. With a lot of time and patience, Willis could have the potential to progress within his new home and come into closer contact. This will need to be on his terms only so he can settle at his own pace. When undisturbed, Willis likes to rest on his top shelf where he feels safe but he can still see his surroundings. He will also play with various toys in his unit when he thinks nobody is watching.

Housing:
Willis does get easily spooked when out exploring the cattery floor and will run back to his unit where he feels safe, so for this reason he will need his own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. He cannot be homed in Southampton SO17 area.

Children/pets:
Willis will need an adult only home. He will need to be the only pet in the household

Vet history:
Willis is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Willis is a cat flu carrier. Currently he is showing no symptoms and is not on any medication. He occasionally has some nasal discharge however he has not required any medical intervention whilst in our care. He will need monitoring and to contact your vets for advise if he has any flare ups. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
