Twiglet

Name: Twiglet

Age: 8 months

Sex: Male

Breed: French Bulldog

Ref number: 116

Personality:
Twiglet is a very sweet boy who has recently recovered from nose, throat and eye surgery.  He is very active and playful and loves a game of fetch. Twiglet is an affectionate dog who loves to sit on your lap and sleep next to you. He can be quite frantic around food/water bowls, especially if they are made from metal. Twiglet’s favourite toys are soft stuffed toys as well as tennis balls.

Behaviour:
Twiglet can be unsure when walking outside. He does very well with routine and prefers quieter walks. He can become easily over whelmed by other people and loud noises and may stop and stare in this situation. However saying that, Twiglet can walk alongside female dogs as well as most neutered males which are calm and polite. He can say hello to new people and generally he is a very friendly boy. He has not had the best start to life and has therefore missed out on early training. Twiglet can struggle with jumping up onto surfaces and jumping up very high when greeting people and needs to learn how to greet people politely. He is doing very well with his training here at the shelter but his new family must be committed to helping him in the home.

Housing:
Twiglet will need a private garden and someone at home for the majority of the day. He likes human company and may need to adapt gradually when it comes to leaving him at home alone.

Children/pets:
Twiglet is looking for a quiet space, perhaps with only a few people living at home. We have limited history on Twiglet and whether he can live with other pets or children and for this reason he can only live with older children 15 yrs + and will need to be the only pet in the house.

Vet history:
Twiglet will need neutering later in the year. He has recently undergone eye surgery to remove a growth from his eyelid as well as nose and throat surgery to improve his breathing. Twiglet’s eye growth may grow back when he is old and will then need to be treated again. Other than that he is fully vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worm treatment.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £250. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.
