Twiglet

Name: Twiglet

Age: 8 months

Sex: Male

Breed: French Bulldog

Ref number: 116

Personality:
Twiglet is a very sweet boy who has recently recovered from nose, throat and eye surgery.  He is very active and playful and loves a game of fetch. Twiglet is an affectionate dog who loves to sit on your lap and sleep next to you. He can be quite frantic around food/water bowls, especially if they are made from metal. Twiglet’s favourite toys are soft stuffed toys as well as tennis balls.

Behaviour:
Twiglet has not had the best start to life and has missed out on early training, socialisation and exposure to the world. As a result, he can be unsure when walking outside. He can be wary of objects and unknown people so needs the opportunity to process them in his own time, before he will walk on. On site we follow a predictable routine walking in quieter areas and allow him to watch the world and process things; learning there is nothing to fear. With space to observe, he will take a little breath and move along. He can say hello to people if he approaches them, and is a friendly boy with the people he has had the chance to get to know.

Housing:
Twiglet will need a private garden and someone at home for the majority of the day. He likes human company and may need to adapt gradually when it comes to leaving him at home alone. Twiglet is looking for adopters who are willing to shrink their world down so that Twiglet can grow in confidence at a pace he is comfortable. Initially that may be training in the garden and out the front of the property, before his trusted area grows and he can go on longer walks. Twiglet will flourish once he has a trusted circle and a predictable routine.

Children/pets:
Twiglet is looking for a quiet space, perhaps with only a few people living at home. We have limited history on Twiglet so will need to live in an adult only home. Twiglet is not suitable to live with small animals.

Vet history:
Twiglet will need neutering later in the year. He has recently undergone eye surgery to remove a growth from his eyelid as well as nose and throat surgery to improve his breathing. Twiglet’s eye growth may grow back when he is old and will then need to be treated again. Other than that he is fully vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worm treatment.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £250. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal
