Todd

Name: Todd

Age: 5 years

Sex: Male

Breed: Spaniel

Ref number: 125

Personality:
Todd is a typical spaniel who will often spend his walks nose to the ground enjoying a good sniff! He can be quite unsure at times and so benefits from a slow approach and the time to go at his own pace. But once he’s comfortable with you he is an affectionate bundle of fun and energy that’s going to make his new adopters a wonderful companion!

Behaviour:
Todd lacks confidence in quite a few aspects and so can take a little time to truly settle with people and whilst he has been walked with other dogs here at the centre if given the option he would prefer to be off exploring on his own. He is full of energy when out on walks and would benefit from adopters with an interest in training and keeping him physically and mentally active. Todd has shown previous signs of resource guarding in the home, because of this he will need adopters with an understanding of resource guarding and who will be willing to make adjustments to help manage this. Todd’s new family will have 3 months support from the behaviour team to help him settle.

Housing:
Todd could eventually be left for a couple of hours in the home but will need people around at first whilst he settles in. He will need access to a private and secure garden and will ideally need either the use of stair gates or a crate to allow him to be left alone when eating and sleeping. Cannot be rehomed to the PO7 area.

Children/pets:
Todd will need to be the only pet and will need an adult only home with no visiting children.

Vet history:
Todd is up to date with flea, worming and vaccinations. He will need to return to the centre at a later date to be castrated.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £220. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
