Personality:
Stewie, Pluto and Odin are sweet, inquisitive boys that love lounging around together in their hammocks and beds. They enjoy their free roam time, exploring different enrichment and toys. They are now looking for their retirement home, where they can relax and receive lots of fuss and love.
Behaviour:
These boys can be a little shy around handling but have gained confidence since being at the centre. They need a loving owner that will be patient with them to help them build their confidence even more.
Housing:
The boys will need a cage that is a minimum size of 93x63x122cm. They will need rat appropriate enrichment with plenty of hammocks and hides. Please talk to staff for more information.
Children/pets:
They can live around other pets, but to be kept separately. The boys can live with children of primary school age (5-11 years), but young children must have adult supervision if interacting/handling the rats.
Vet history:
The boys have had a few medical issues before coming into us. They had a bad mite problem, which has since been treated. As a result of this they have some fur loss. Odin does have a small lump around his left hind leg. We are not concerned about this and it has not changed in size/ appearance. Staff will be able to provide more information during the application process.
Additional information:
All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the rats.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
