Name: Stevie Nyx
Age: 2 years
Sex: Female
Breed: Rottweiler/Collie
Ref number: 16

Personality:
Beautiful Stevie Nyx is a very sweet and affectionate girl who loves cuddles with the people she trusts, she enjoys playing with toys and will even ‘go her own way’ and play fetch with herself. She has ‘Big Love’ to give and ‘Dreams’ of finding a calm home where she can gain confidence and blossom into the most amazing version of herself.

Behaviour:
Stevie had not been walked for at least a year before she came to us so her adopters will need to have time and patience and allow her to take things slowly and invest time in positive training and building her confidence. She seeks reassurance by jumping up and holding onto you but can be conflicted so an understanding of canine body language and the willingness to advocate for her is important. She is interested in other dogs but under socialised so unsure how to act around them. She will need to be an only dog and introductions to new doggy friends will need to be slow.

Housing:
Stevie doesn’t like to be left, however she was being left up to 4 hours in her previous home. But she will need to have someone at home most of the time initially until she can gradually learn it’s ok to be left and she doesn’t have to go ‘Everywhere’ with you. She will need a private garden where she can let off steam as we recommend she doesn’t go out for walks until she is settled. She cannot be rehomed to the SO18 area.

Children/pets:
Stevie should be the only animal in the home because she isn’t well socialised with other dogs and likely to chase cats and small animals, her new family will need to continue training and socialising her slowly once she is settled. They will be provided with support from our behaviour team initially. Stevie has lived with children before and could live with sensible Secondary School age children.

Vet history:
Stevie is in excellent health, has been spayed, vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worming treatment.
