Name: Star
Age: 8 years 10 months
Sex: Female
Breed: DSH
Ref number: 33
Star is such a gentle and sensitive soul who took a while to settle. She would initially hide under blankets in an outside carrier. Staff spent a lot of time doing everything at a pace Star felt comfortable with. They were then rewarded with a massive headbutt, lots of purring and rolling around for fuss. Star couldn’t get enough attention and was catching up on all the love she’d missed!
Star has been growing in confidence daily and now doesn’t take long to come out and see staff and volunteers. She is such a loving and affectionate girl who would be stroked all day if she could. She’s even started to get onto peoples lap and will gently paw your hand if you stop stroking her. Star’s new owners will be very lucky to have her.
Star does get easily spooked by loud noises and sudden movements and values her safe space, so for this reason she would benefit from her own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a fully enclosed private garden. She cannot be homed in Havant.
Star can live with children 12+ who will be calm and quiet around her to allow her to settle. Star could possibly live with another older, easy going cat with a slow and controlled introduction.
Star is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated.
