Rehoming – Profile
History:
Stan came to us as a stray.
Behaviour observations on site:
Stan was really shy when he first came into us but now he’s fully settled he’s like a completely different cat.
Being a previous stray, when Stan arrived he was definitely ruled by his belly! All he would think about 24/7 was when his next meal was coming. Now he’s in a good routine he enjoys human companionship as much as food.
He likes nothing more than getting out onto the cattery floor to stretch his legs and see what’s happening, although he will keep checking in with you for some gentle fuss, he loves a head stroke and having his cheeks tickled, at times, he can even show a playful side and loves rolling in catnip.
Stan needs to be an only pet and can live with teenagers+ who will allow him time and space to settle. He would benefit from a quiet room to settle in to prevent him from becoming overwhelmed. Once he has found his feet he would love plenty of room to explore in his new home.
Adoption fee: £80 If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
Medical history:
Stan is FIV+, for this reason he will need an outdoor enclosure he can use or a fully cat proof garden as he does enjoy being out in the sun, examples of these can be seen in his profile pictures. FIV+ cats can lead long and healthy lives but do need to be kept away from other cats, this is to prevent further spread of the virus and to protect them from contracting infection or disease.
Stan is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated.
He has no other known medical conditions.
4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
Additional information:
Stan cannot be homed in Fareham.
