Skye

Name: Skye

Age: 6 years

Sex: Female

Breed: Domestic long hair

Ref number: 24

Personality:
Skye is a affectionate, friendly girl. She is nervous in new environments but finds human company reassuring and is building her confidence to explore further within her unit whilst being socialised.

Behaviour:
Skye likes the comfort of her bed and sleeping in her tunnel on the heated floor. She will often make a quick appearance to see you and rub around your legs whilst purring. She enjoys some gentle strokes and rolling around in her covered hide for fuss when she’s a little unsure of external sounds. Skye has not yet shown a playful side but this could come with time in a home environment.

Housing:
Skye does prefer the safety of her unit and finds new surroundings a little scary, so for this reason she would need her unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. She cannot be homed in Gosport (PO12 area)

Children/pets:
Skye could live with secondary school aged children who will be calm and allow her time to settle into her new home. Due to her nervous nature, she would need to be the only pet in the household.

Vet history:
Skye is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. Her second vaccination is due between 13/03/25 – 19/03/25 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Skye has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal
