Name: Sandy
Age: 1 year
Sex: Female
Breed: Gerbil
Ref number: 22
Personality:
Sandy is a sweet girl who loves nothing more than burrowing under her bedding to find the comfiest spot to have a snooze. When shes not snoozing away, you can find her exploring her enclosure finding tasty things to chew on or having a roll around in her sand bath.
Behaviour:
Sandy is quite an inquisitive girl and will most likely be seen popping her head out of one of her tunnels to see whats going on outside of her enclosure, she can sometimes get a bit spooked at loud noises though. Naturally, sandy is quite wriggly when it comes to handling so she will need a bit of patience. She is now looking for either a female gerbil or a neutered male gerbil to bond with. The bonding process can be discussed with staff.
Housing:
Sandy is looking for a large glass tank enclosure, with minimum sizing of 100 x 50cm (the bigger the better!) with plenty of suitable bedding for burrowing. Accommodation types can be discussed with staff.
Children/pets:
Sandy can live around other pets, but to be kept separate/ in a different room and can live with secondary school aged children (11-18 years). we would also advise to have adult supervision with younger children if interacting/ handling gerbils.
Vet history:
Sandy Currently has no medical concerns.
