Rose

Name: Rose

Age: 3-4 months approx

Sex: Female

Breed: DSH

Ref number: 119

Personality:
Beautiful Rose has come such a long way since being in our care. She initially came in as a stray with her mum and it was clear to see she’d had no human contact. Staff have been working very closely with Rose, and although she can still get a little panicked sometimes, she is really starting to trust people. She is now happy being around us and is even beginning to enjoy being stroked. She is a chatty girl who often demands your attention and has a lovely loud purr.

Behaviour:
Rose will come into her run to greet us when we enter, unusually sitting on her shelf observing us before coming over screaming at us for fuss. She can still be a little hand shy but enjoys being stroked once’s she’s given you a good sniff. Rose loves playing with toys, at the moment her favourite is leaves found in her outside run! Rose is growing in confidence everyday and her new family will be lucky to watch her develop and grow.

Housing:
Rose will need an unused room of her own to initially settle in to prevent her from becoming overwhelmed as she does find new surroundings a little scary. Once settled she can explore the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. She cannot be homed in Southampton (SO14 area).

Children/pets:
Rose could possibly live with teenage children but they must be calm and quiet so Rose can settle in her new home. Rose would benefit from living with another young and energetic cat who is used to living with cats and with a slow introduction; they will need to be used to kittens with high energy levels.

Vet history:
Rose is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. Her second vaccination is due between  04/10/24 – 10/10/24 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Rose has no known medical conditions.  4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal
