Name: Rose
Age: 4 years
Sex: Female
Breed: British Bull dog
Ref number: 20

Personality:
Rose is a very friendly, sweet and affectionate girl who is full of character. She will greet you with her favourite toy while wagging her whole body, she is playful, very funny and has already won the hearts of many people here at the centre. She loves to snuggle and will sit on your lap and enjoys short walks but also still has little bursts of energy and enjoys a little run around.

Behaviour:
Rose is very scared of her harness and will bark and run away from it so she is currently being walked on a collar and lead which is ok for now because she rarely pulls, however we recommend adopters slowly desensitise her to the harness once settled in her new home. Rose has been a little over zealous with the other dogs in her previous household so adopters would need to be aware of this and ensure interactions are kept calm.

Housing:
Rose would need to have easy access to a private outside space where she can be let out to toilet regularly. Rose likes being around people but in her previous home she was able to be left for up to 4 hours and once settled she should settle for a similar amount of time in her new home. Rose cannot be rehomed to the PO7 area.

Children/pets:
Rose would need to be the only dog in the home due to the behaviour mentioned above but she could potentially have dog friends on walks. She cannot live with cats as she will chase them but could live with small animals if kept separate. Rose could live with primary school age children but interactions would need to be supervised at all times and the adults in the home would need to be responsible for walking her.

Vet history:
Rose has a couple of conditions to consider that may not be covered by insurance. Full details can be provided to any potential
adopters but they should be able to cover any cost of possible treatment in the future. Due to these conditions Rose’s weight and exercise levels will need to be closely monitored so she doesn’t over exert herself.
1) BOAS (Brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome)
2) Patella luxation left stifle
Rose has been spayed, will be full vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatment
