Rehoming – Profile

History:

Pom Bear came into the shelter originally as a stray. This means we have little history on his life before he came into us.

Behaviour observations on site:

Please do not apply for Pombear if you do not meet his homing criteria.

Pom bear is a bundle of energy who enjoys playing and will happily walk for miles. He is a cuddly boy who nuzzles in for snuggles.

Pombear is muzzle trained as he finds vet visits stressful and he will need to wear one in certain situations. New adopters must be willing to carry on this training in the home to keep up a positive association. He will need regular grooming as he has a thick double coat and he enjoys a brush.Pom bear will thrive in a quiet home with a secure garden to play in with regular walks.

He takes time to make friends and is unsure of over handling by new people, he will require multiple visits with potential adopters here at the shelter before going into a new home. Staff will provide guidance for adopters on how to introduce Pom to new people.

With time and patience, Pombear will make a fantastic companion. When trust is gained, he is such a wonderful boy who loves affection and to be groomed.

Cannot be re-homed within 3 miles of PO6
