Rehoming – Profile
Patrick came into us as he wasn’t comfortable with the children he was living with.
Behaviour observations on site:
Patrick is a really loveable boy. He loves nothing more than to nap on your lap and a good fuss. He loves his walks and enjoys sniffing! He also loves his food and he is pretty smart with his training. Patrick enjoys walking with other dogs and he would like to have some doggy friends out and about.
Patrick is an adolescent and can be boisterous, jumpy and humpy. However he is doing well at the centre learning his manners and we are sure he will flourish in a home environment.
Patrick cannot live with children or have visiting children as he is very worried about them. He previously lived with children and did not cope with them in the house. Please do not apply if you have children or visiting children in your home, your application will not be processed.
Patrick is nervous when he first meets people and will shy away from being approached initially. When we allow Patrick to approach strangers in his own time (and offer him a tasty treat!) Patrick warms fairly quickly. It is important however that this is followed and new owners are able to read his body language to act accordingly. Patrick is an undersocialized adolescent pup and so can be nervous of novel objects and new things. Patrick will need to continue his training and socialisation in his new home to help him through his teenage years. This may include training classes or 1 2 1 sessions with an accredited trainer.
We are so excited to see Patrick settled in his new home, he is a real staff favourite here at the centre.
Adoption fee: £180 If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.
Medical history:
Patrick will need to come back to the centre to be castrated when he is older. He is vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatment.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
