Personality:
Oreo can be quite a relaxed and laid back cat, often found chilling in his igloo bed. But don’t let him fool you, as soon as he knows someone is around he will be straight out, following you everywhere demanding fuss and attention. Oreo is a very sweet and affectionate boy who loves being around people. He is starting to show a chatty side.
Behaviour:
Oreo will greet his socialisers by headbutting their hands for a chin rub. He likes to brush around your legs whilst purring and paddy pawing. He is beginning to show interest on sitting on his most trusted handlers laps. He will put his paws on their lap and nudge their hands or lap. Oreo has a playful side and will bat his toys around the run floor. He loves his cardboard scratcher and will often take a quick break to use it. He enjoys watching the outside world go by, although he can be a little spooked by loud external noises and will return to safety.
Housing:
Oreo will need a home with outside access to a garden. He cannot be homed in Southampton (SO19 area).
Children/pets:
Oreo will need to be the only pet in the household. He can live with secondary school aged children who will be calm around him.
Vet history:
Oreo is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. His second vaccination is due between 27/11/2025 – 03/12/2025 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Oreo has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.
Additional information:
All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
