Name: Ollie
Age: 2 years
Sex: Male
Breed: Patterdale Terrier (Fell Terrier)/Poodle
Ref number: 18
Personality:
Ollie is a very sweet and affectionate boy who absolutely loves being around people he knows. He has melted many hearts since his arrival and all he wants is cuddles. He has a lovely personality and really enjoys playing fetch as well as running around the fields or going for long walks. Ollie would make a perfect companion to someone who wants a friend with lots of affection to give. Ollie can be unsure of new people (particularly men) but does warm up quickly given the opportunity to approach in his own time over a few meetings.
Behaviour:
Ollie needs space from Men while he is getting to know them. Ollie can be quite nervous and vocal around dogs he does not know, so any adopter would need to support him with this and encourage space when needed. Ollie is happy to walk alongside calm dogs, but does not appreciate dogs that approach him overenthusiastically. Ollie will need a gradual introduction to being left alone. He will need
some time where he isn’t left at all to feel safe and comfortable and leaving him will need to be built up slowly.
Housing:
Ollie would preferably benefit from living in a house with a garden as he is an active boy. Due to his sensitive nature, he would flourish in a calm, quiet home forever home.
Children/pets:
It is not known whether Ollie has lived with children previously. He could potentially live with children over the age of 15 pending successful introductions. As Ollie can be quite nervous around other dogs we believe he would be happier as the only dog in the home. We think Ollie needs to have at least 1 woman in the home as he bonds much quicker with women but can then build good relationships with men too.
Vet history:
Ollie has been castrated and is fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and Worming treatment. His ears tend to get dirty over time
therefore he will need regular weekly ear cleaning to prevent infection.
