Name: Molly
Age: 18 weeks
Sex: Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever
Ref number: 111
Personality:
Molly is a beautiful, bouncy girl who is searching for her forever home. Molly is looking for a dedicated new owner who is prepared to take on the highs and lows of puppyhood. She is a typical young pup who loves to play and be around people. Molly is very friendly and happy to say hello to everyone she meets.
Behaviour:
Molly is a curious little girl and it is a delight to watch her investigate her surroundings. She can be a little cautious at times but with patience (and a little treat) she is happy. Molly, like any puppy, can be mouthy during play or when she is unsure of what to do. It is important her new family are prepared for this and willing to show her what is appropriate to mouth/chew and what is not.
Housing:
Molly will need a quiet area of the house, such as a playpen or an area stair gated off to help with toilet training, settling alone, and chewing appropriately. She will need someone at home with her for the majority of the day and will have to be exposed to being left alone gradually.
Children/pets:
Molly could live with other animals, including cats and dogs. Any resident dogs will have to come to the shelter to meet with Molly several times to ensure they are a good match. Resident cats should be used to dogs and owners should be prepared to introduce them slowly. Molly could live with children aged 8 years +.
Vet history:
Molly has started her puppy vaccinations and is flea and wormed. She will need to be spayed when she is older at the shelter.
