Name: Millie
Age: 6 years
Sex: Female
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier
Ref number: 7
Personality:
Millie the adventurer is a friendly playful girl who takes everything in her stride and enjoys exploring new environments and meeting new people. She is currently living in a foster home where she enjoys regular boat trips and long walks. Millie is a relaxed girl in the home and happy to have a lay in or laze around in the sun but she is also an active girl who loves her toys and a good game of tug. She is very quick to learn new skills in exchange for tasty treats! She will “sit” give her “paw” and has recently learned to “wait”.
Behaviour:
Millie has a very high prey drive and will chase small animals and wildlife, for this reason she will need to work on her recall and we would advise keeping her on a lead or long line in any unsecured areas. For this reason it would be beneficial for Millie’s new home to have experience or a good understanding of her breed.
Housing:
Millie would benefit from living in a home with access to an enclosed garden, alongside her regular walks she would benefit from mental stimulation in the home. She loves to go on new adventures and would happily travel with you wherever you go. Millie can be left for up to 3 hours per day. Millie cannot be rehomed to the Gosport area
Children/pets:
Due to coming into us as a stray we do not have a good understanding of Millie’s history and we are unsure on how she would cope with Children in the home so she would need to be rehomed with Adults only. Millie can walk with other dogs but she would prefer to be the only dog in the home and cannot live with any small animals or cats due to her high prey drive.
Vet history:
Millie has been recently spayed, is fully vaccinated and up to date with Flea and Worming treatment. She has been recovering from flea allergy dermatitis since arriving with us and would benefit from regular baths going forward to help maintain the health of her skin.
