Name: Merry
Age: 12 weeks
Sex: Female
Breed: Dachshund x Chihuahua
Ref number: 23

Personality:
Merry came into us with her littermate Pippin. She is an adorable little girl and has melted many hearts in the short time she has been with us. She was very nervous when she first arrived but is gaining confidence daily, she loves having calm cuddles and likes to snuggle into your neck. Merry also enjoys playing with toys, particularly a good game of tug.

Behaviour:
Merry is only 12 weeks old and hasn’t had much exposure to the outside world yet. She will need support from her new family / individual to help her learn how to live in a home, she will need toilet training and we recommend she attends positive reward based puppy training classes.

Housing:
Due to her being in the early stages of toilet training, Merry will need access to a garden but this could be a small outside space due to her size. We would recommend using a lead or a long line in the garden until you are confident there are no holes she can escape through. Merry cannot be rehomed to the Gosport area.
We would like Merry to spend as little time in kennels as possible so anyone interested in applying for her will need to be prepared to meet her at the center at least 3 times in quick succession and be ready to take her home very soon.
escape through. Merry cannot be rehomed to the Gosport area.
Children/pets:
Merry has not been fully vaccinated so hasn’t been able to socialise with other dogs since she came to us but she has lived with her sister and mum and dad so she could potentially be rehomed with another dog pending successful meets. She could also go with a dog savvy cat. Merry is nervous of small children but could go with children over 10 years old.

Vet history:
Merry has received her first vaccination, flea and wormer with us but she will need to have her second vaccine and wormer here on or after 19th March.
Merry will also need to come back to us to be spayed at 6 months old.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £200 If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
Additional information:
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
