Personality:
Melvin can be a shy boy around people, but not when it’s veggie time. He’s out and about ready to have some of his favourite vegetables. Melvin is very gentle and will take small pieces of veg from your hand.
Behaviour:
We’ve found that Melvin is more confident around meal times and will follow you around with excitement. Melvin is seeking a female (s) companion that will bring him out of his shell.
Housing:
Our minimum housing for two Guinea pigs is 6ft x 2ft enclosure. He can either be housed indoors, such as with a C&C pen, or could be housed outdoors with a large shed. Melvin is looking to live with a female(s) guinea pig. Housing can be discussed with staff, but we do not rehome to hutches.
Children/pets:
Melvin can live around other pets, but to be kept separately. He can also live with primary school aged children. Younger children must have adult supervision if interacting/handling with the guinea pigs.
Vet history:
Melvin is castrated and has no other health concerns.

All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
