Marley

Name: Marley

Age: 3 years

Sex: Female

Breed: Lurcher

Ref number: 28

Personality:
Marley is a sweet, energetic, playful girl. She is really friendly with people and makes us laugh everyday with her playful nature. She loves nothing more than playing with a soft toy which she will amuse herself with while bouncing around. She also really enjoys very long walks and having a good run around in a garden or secure off lead space. She is here through no fault of her own but just unfortunate circumstances. She formed a really strong bond with her former owner and would settle well and was fully toilet trained.

Behaviour:
Marley is a little worried by other dogs and can become frustrated and bark when on lead as she wants to approach. Whilst in the home she made huge progress with this, and was socialised with other dogs. She will need someone calm and confident to continue giving her lots of positive experiences with dogs without overwhelming her. Marley also finds it difficult to be left alone so will need someone to be with her all the time until she can learn that it’s ok to be on her own. Our behaviour team can support with the right way to do this. With this support we know she will make an amazing companion to her new family.

Housing:
Marley will need a private secure garden with 6ft fencing. She cannot be rehomed within 3 miles of Highlands road, Fareham.

Children/pets:
Due to showing some guarding behaviours over very high value items like large chews, she should live with adults only. However, we would consider a home with older secondary school children who have experience with dogs or are prepared to learn and give her the space she needs.

Vet history:
Marley is fully vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment and has been spayed. She has had a couple of ear infections in the past which are currently managed with a grain free diet, full details will be provided to any potential adopter.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £220. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
