Personality:
Maisie is a lovely girl, who likes to be nosey when we’re cleaning her living space! She gets particularly excited when she is offered some fruit or veg to have a peck at, all she needs now is a spacious home amongst other chickens to cure her loneliness!
Behaviour:
Since being in our care we have no behaviour concerns with Maisie, but often she will follow staff around when she is being cleaned and fed so company of her own kind will definitely do her the world of good. We aim to keep her busy with different enrichment, while she temporarily lives on her own.
Housing:
Maisie is looking for a predator proof chicken coop, with a large area of grass accessed via free roaming or attached to the coop. She must be housed with other chickens, and sizing of the enclosure can be discussed with staff.
Children/pets:
Maisie can live around other animals, but are to be kept separately. She can also live with all aged children, and while we believe she would be happy around young children, they should be supervised at all times when interacting/handling with them.
Vet history:
Maisie did arrive with a mild form of scaly leg, which has been treated and therefore has no current health concerns.
