Name: Lola
Age: Adult
Sex: Female
Breed: Shar Pei/Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Ref number: 15

Personality:
Meet Lola our lovely and affectionate Shar Pei cross staffie. Lola found her self in our care due to no fault of her own, and has been coping well in kennels. She loves her human friends and dog friends a like. Lola has a lot of energy and will need to learn a few skills to help her navigate the human world as she is VERY strong on the lead and jumps up at people when she greets them. Lola loves going for long walks, playing fetch with a ball and figuring out her new enrichment toys.

Behaviour:
We unfortunately do not know a lot about Lola’s history other than she is a foreign import from Croatia and had recently had a litter of puppies before coming to us. Lola is a very friendly but a large girl who loves using her nose to figure out scent games, and loves a really good massage. She can be quite excitable at times and jumps up although she is doing really well with her training here at the centre, this will need to be continued in the home. She would benefit from an owner experienced with large bully breeds. Lola is high energy and will need lots of exercise and will benefit from training for fun and life skills. She will need a home where her exercise and stimulation needs will be met.

Housing:
Lola will need a good sized secure garden to explore and relax in and a comfy bed in a quiet part of the house to sleep in. Her new adopters will have to dedicate lots of time to help her settle in at home, it is not known how Lola will cope being left on her own or if she is toilet trained.

Children/pets:
Lola wants to be the centre of attention and so will need to be the only dog in the home for now. She would enjoy having doggy friends to go for walks with. She will not be able to live with cats or small animals due to her excitement around them. Lola could live with older senior school aged children .

Vet history:
Lola is up to date with her vaccinations and flea and worm treatment. Lola will need to come back to the shelter to be spayed once settled.
