Kevin & Perry

Name: Kevin & Perry

Age: 1 year roughly

Sex: Males

Breed: Rats

Ref number: 19 & 20

Personality:
Kevin and Perry are curious and gentle chaps, who love their food! Despite being a bit older, they waste no time in tucking straight in when being fed, especially if a mealworm can be sniffed out. Both of them will approach us with ease every day to say hello and see what’s going on while we clean them!

Behaviour:
While being in our care, there have been no concerns with the boys. They are quite confident and do allow handling, but currently they tolerate this. With time and a bond formed with their new home, handling could become an enjoyable experience for them. No doubt a meal worm or a lick-e-lix will help!

Housing:
Kevin and Perry are looking for a large rat enclosure, sizes of this can be discussed with staff. They are to be housed together only, and not with other rats. If the potential adopter has other rats already, they ideally need to be kept in a separate room to these boys. The ability to offer secure free roam time in a rat proof room is preferred.

Children/pets:
They can live around cats/dogs but to be kept separately. Children to be 6+ and supervised when interacting or handling with the rats.

Vet history:
Kevin and Perry currently have no medical issues. They haven’t been castrated due to their age.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £15. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the rats.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal
