Joe

Name: Joe

Age: 8 years

Sex: Male

Breed: Cockapoo

Ref number: 42

Joe is a friendly, affectionate and bouncy boy. At 8 years old he still has plenty of Cockerpoo energy. He loves his daily walks and enjoys a good sniff when out and about. Joe likes to meet new people and has been practicing keeping four paws on the floor when saying hello. He has been good with other dogs he has met whilst in our care.

Joe enjoys running around in our play areas. He is quick to learn and responds well to training. He walks well on the lead and has good recall, although new owners will need to practice with him in a secure area, to ensure this is reliable, before allowing him off lead.

Joe would benefit from a home with a secure garden for him to play and explore. He will need a quiet place for a comfy bed where he knows he will not be disturbed. Joe will need regular grooming. Can not be rehomed in the Gosport area.

Joe could live with another dog dependent on successful meets at our centre. He lived with another dog in his previous home. Joe has shown little interest in our cats on site, so could live with a dog savvy cat. Joe cannot live with birds or other small animals.  He will need an adult only family.

Joe has a history of ear canal inflammation partially due to his breed. He will need regular ear cleaning to help prevent this in the future. Due to this being a pre-existing condition, it will not be covered by pet insurance. His new owner will need to be prepared to meet the cost of any future treatment in relation to this.

Joe is neutered, fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatment.
