Jinx

Name: Jinx

Age: Adult

Sex: Male

Breed: Domestic Short Hair x Bengal

Ref number: 12

Personality:
Jinx is a typical Bengal X, he’s a lively boy who is full of character. Jinx has come to us from a very busy household and is learning to adjust to a calmer and more predictable routine.
When Jinx first came into the cattery environment, he was very conflicted and did redirect this at the staff. He has now built up a bond with a couple of members of staff. This was achieved by going back to basics; earning his trust and allowing him to initiate any contact at a pace he felt comfortable with.

Behaviour:
Jinx loves nothing more than being with people and he would love his new owners to be around a lot of the time. He will rub around your legs and follow you everywhere you go. Jinx loves curling up on your lap or having some strokes, we are doing this on Jinx’s terms and when he initiates it. On site, we offered a hands-off approach until Jinx had built a relationship and learnt to trust us. Jinx has bundles of energy to burn off and loves playing with toys, his favourite being string toys and bouncy balls. Jinx is a very intelligent boy who really enjoys some of his meals in activities to keep him stimulated.

Housing:
Jinx will need a home with outside access to a garden, he’s desperate to get outside and explore what the world has to offer. He would need an unused room to initially settle in for the first 24-48 hours before exploring the rest of the property. Jinx cannot be homed in the Gosport PO13 area.

Children/pets:
Jinx has come from a busy household; he can sometimes get a little frustrated and is learning to walk away from a situation he feels uncomfortable with, for this reason he needs to be the only pet in an adult only home. It would be beneficial for his new owners to have experience in reading cat behaviour. Previous Bengal experience would be a bonus.

3 months post adoption support will be provided by our onsite behaviourist.

Vet history:
Jinx is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and will be fully vaccinated. Jinx has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption. Jinx has been on some medication to help him relax whilst in our care as he finds the confinements of the cattery environment quite stressful. This will be provided for his new home and a plan will be given on how to gradually wean him off of this.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal
