Jeff

Name: Jeff

Age: 3 years approx

Sex: Male

Breed: DSH

Ref number: 168

Personality:
Jeff was a little wary of us and the environment when he first came in to our care, but he didn’t take long to show what a sweet and affectionate boy he can be once he trusts you. He will constantly roll around wanting to be fussed. Jeff is a big foodie so it’s a good way to start making friends with him.

Behaviour:
Jeff has really been through it before coming in to us, he was incredibly skinny and had been pulling out his fur. Now he’s settling into a good routine, he has been putting on weight and has reduced his fur pulling. He only appears to do this overnight, which we believe is down to a lack of company. He would love his new owners to be around most of the time.

Housing:
Jeff does find new situations a little worrying so he would benefit from a quiet room to settle in for a short period of time before exploring the rest of the property and eventually a fully enclosed private garden. He cannot be homed in Cadnam SO40.

Children/pets:
To limit any stress factors that could start Jeff pulling his fur out again he would be best suited as an only pet in a calm and quiet home. He can live with children 12+ who will be calm around him.

Vet history:
Jeff is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Jeff possibly has early kidney disease so he is currently having a supplement added to his wet food. It would be beneficial for Jeff to have regular vet checks every 6-12 months. Jeff has been on some medication to help him relax while in our care. If he is still on this when he goes to his new home, this will be provided and a plan will be given on how to gradually wean him off of this 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £80. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal
