Name: Jasmine & Dahlia
Age: Unknown (estimated 1 year)
Sex: Females
Breed: Rats
Ref number: 44 & 46

Personality:
Jasmine and Dahlia are energetic and confident girls, they love to use staff as a climbing frame when it comes to socialisation! Once they have used up all their energy, you’ll find them cosied up together in their hammock beds. They’ll also never turn down an occasional treat of lick-e-lix.

Behaviour:
These fun girls love to be kept active and to engage in any new form of enrichment! From forage boxes, to loo rolls to use for bedding. Jasmine and Dahlia also thrive with having their daily food provided as a puzzle, such as scatter feeding or hanging cardboard cups from string where they must seek the food out of. At least one meeting with the girls is advised, where staff can discuss and assist with a small interaction.

Housing:
Large indoor rat cage, sizes of cage can be discussed with staff. If experienced in rat mixing, they could be mixed with other rats (size of cage will depend what the total of rats could be).

Children/pets:
Can live with dogs/cats in a separate room. Age requirement of children 12+ years, due to the approach on how they are handled and socialised. Despite their confidence, they can be a bit nervous with handling and can easily be spooked so children would need to be supervised if interacting. Plus, they can be a bit snatchy if being hand fed.

Vet history:
No current medical issues. Dahlia was treated with Xeno 50 as a precaution from the previous cage mate she lived with who had a skin irritation but Dahlia has shown no signs of this since.
Additional information:
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the rats.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
