Jack & Jill

Name: Jack & Jill

Age: 2 years & 6 months

Sex: Male & Female

Breed: Lovebirds

Ref number: 10 & 11

Personality:
Jack and Jill are a stunning, sweet pair of lovebirds looking for their next adventure. Jack is most vocal and inquisitive, who will start talking to you the minute you walk in the room, Jill on the other hand is a little more reserved and will assess the situation from a safe distance before creeping closer. Jack is often seen trying to show off to Jill, in his attempt to impress her!

Behaviour:
During their time in our care, we’ve found no behaviour issues. Other than very chatty and chirpy! Like most birds, they do become frantic with handling or when approached quite closely. In a calm setting, they’ll happily chat or sing away to anyone who provides some company.

Housing:
Jack and Jill previously lived as indoor birds, so this is what they are most used to. We’d ideally like to find them a home where their new owner has the ability to slowly introduce them to the outdoors, as they could thrive in an outdoor aviary that provides shelter. However, they can be homed to an indoor only home of a ‘bird room’ where they can fly freely and safely within. This room would need a large cage where they can retreat to or be placed away when needed. Sizes of the cage or aviary can be discussed with staff, including methods of introducing them to the outdoors if the applicant can provide this. Lastly, they could live with other Lovebirds, or just as a pair.

Children/pets:
Can live around cats/dogs, but to be kept separately. Children to be supervised when interacting or getting in close contact with the birds.

Vet history:
Both have been wormed and are missing a couple nails which doesn’t affect them. Otherwise, they have no other health concerns.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £20. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the lovebirds.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal
