Name: Honey
Age: 11 year old
Sex: Female
Breed: DSH
Ref number: 24
Personality:
Honey is the sweetest girl who everyone falls in love with. When in her unit she loves to curl up in her bed for a snooze. When she gets the opportunity to come out on the cattery floor she takes full advantage of checking everything out and having a natter with anyone that’ll listen to her.
Behaviour:
Even though Honey is an older girl she really enjoys rolling around in some cat nip, and will often have a funny five minutes playing with a variety of toys. She can be quite an affectionate girl who will check in for fuss but is equally happy doing her own thing.
Housing:
Honey will need a home with outside access to a fully enclosed private garden. She cannot be homed in Southampton (SO16 area).
Children/pets:
Honey has never encountered children before but could possibly live with children 12+ who will be very gentle with her. She needs to be an only pet.
Vet history:
Honey is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Honey has spinal spondylosis which is a form of arthritis of the spine which causes her to be a bit wobbly on her back legs. Honey is currently on some pain relief for this which she will need to be on long term. Honey has remained stable whilst in our care, if this continues it is recommended she sees a vet every 6-12 months to ensure her pain is being managed. Honey has also had a low grade (grade 1) Soft Tissue Sarcoma removed from her left ear. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.
